Soby's New South Cuisine was honored with several awards.

*Gold awards from The American Advertising Federation for cover design and photography.

*Gold from The IBPA (Independent Book Publishers Association) for Best Cookbook 2007 on the national level. This was the 12^th year for the contest, deemed the IPPY awards, which attracted over 3,000 entries from 49 states, nine Canadian provinces and 16 countries around the world. Soby’s New South Cuisine tied for the gold medal with The Calcutta Kitchen, by Simon Parks and Udit Sarkhel (Interlink Publishing Group).

*Cookbook Finalist (top three), for SIBA (Southern Independent Booksellers Association), as nominated by independent booksellers and voted on by the booksellers themselves.
